Our Services

Halcyon Psychology provides comprehensive mental health services in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Our registered psychologist, with an Authorized Practice Endorsement, offers psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as specialized assessment and diagnostic services including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, psychoeducational, developmental, and mental health evaluations. We also provide consultation services to support families, schools, and other professionals in understanding and addressing psychological needs.

Individual Psychotherapy

Our psychotherapy services are designed to provide a supportive and personalized space for children, teens, and adults.

  • Initial Appointment (90 minutes):
    Your first session with our registered psychologist is focused on understanding your unique needs, concerns, and goals. Together, we’ll explore your background, current challenges, and what you’d like to achieve through therapy. This longer appointment allows time to build a clear picture and set a direction for treatment.

  • Follow-Up Sessions (50 minutes):
    After the initial appointment, ongoing sessions focus on working toward the goals we’ve identified together. These sessions provide a structured but flexible space to build coping strategies, develop new perspectives, and support meaningful change over time.

Assessment and Diagnostics

Our assessments bring clarity to challenges related to learning, attention, development, and mental health. We provide evaluations for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, psychoeducational, developmental, and general mental health concerns.

  • Initial Meeting (90 minutes):
    We begin with a detailed intake session to gather history, concerns, and goals.

  • Assessment Process:
    Assessments may include interviews, standardized testing, questionnaires, and collaboration with parents, teachers, or other professionals.

  • Feedback & Report:
    You’ll receive a feedback session and written report that includes clear results, diagnostic considerations, and practical recommendations to guide next steps.

Consultation services are designed to support families, caregivers, and professionals with practical strategies and guidance.

  • Initial Consultation (60–90 minutes):
    Our first meeting focuses on understanding your concerns and gathering a complete picture of the situation.

  • Follow-Up Consultations (50 minutes):
    Ongoing meetings provide tailored strategies, parenting support, school-based recommendations, or collaborative planning with other professionals.
